    By public transport

Suburban rail: take the RER B line from Paris, and get off at Orsay-Ville station.

If you leave the station from the Paris end of the platform: take the tunnel under the tracks. After exiting the tunnel, walk straight down the hill (rue Desjobert) and just before you get to the bus station at the bottom, turn left into rue de Launay. Follow this road for about a minute until you see a big white building on the right (the music conservatory). Turn right in front of this building, taking the path that leads to the pedestrian bridge that crosses the stream. Cross over it, and the maths building is the first on the left.

If you leave the station from the Saint Rémy end of the platform: walk down the street (rue de la Chaufferie) until you reach a big white building on the left (the music conservatory). Take the path on the right of this building that leads to the pedestrian bridge that crosses the stream. Cross over it, and the maths building is the first on the left.

    By road

There are two options when coming from Paris:

    • Take the N118, exit at "Centre Universitaire", follow the signs for "Faculté des Sciences", and drop down into the valley.
    • Take the A6, then the A10 towards Bordeaux-Nantes, then towards Chartres-Orléans. Exit at "Vallée de Chevreuse, Bures" onto the N118 and get off at the "Orsay" exit. In the town, follow signs for "Université Paris-Sud". Check the map on arrival at the campus.
